Their task consists of providing NGE countermeasures on board or at the yard, drawing up project-specific procedures for carrying out excavation or dredging works in NGE contaminated areas and they are the contact person for local units of the EOD or DOVO. We also supply materials to protect personnel such as anti-fragmentation blankets and armored ammunition containers.
In the event that NGE is encountered during work, our consultant has the knowledge and experience to assess on site which steps must be taken to continue the work safely without undue delay. On projects where an archaeological find is expected, we also provide (maritime) archaeologists who assess found objects on heritage value and maintain contact with the heritage authorities.
